  • The immune system is made up of the cells, tissues, and organs of the body that defend against infection and disease.
  • The reproductive system is made up of the organs and structures involved in sexual reproduction. In males, it includes the testes, the prostate gland, and the penis. In females, it includes the ovaries, the uterus, and the vagina.
  • The integumentary system is made up of the skin, the hair, the nails, and the glands. It protects the body from infection, maintains body temperature, and stores fat and water.

Each organ system performs a specific set of functions, and they all work together to keep the body functioning properly.
