The 49th edition of the Thanksgiving Day Parade in North Miami once again captivated attendees as it filled Northeast 125th Street with vibrant festivities. This year’s parade featured a wide variety of bands, dance groups, and colorful floats, making it a fun-filled event for families in the community.
The parade route stretched from Sixth Avenue to Tenth Avenue, with City Council member and Grand Marshal Scott Galvin leading the way. The event was a true celebration of community spirit, offering spectacular entertainment for all.
Local bands from North Miami and North Miami Beach participated, bringing music and excitement to the streets. Among the highlights of the parade were lively floats that included Santa Claus and Mrs. Claus, the Miami Heat dancers, and beautifully decorated police cars, alongside marching community groups.
Attendees poured in from across South Florida, creating a joyful atmosphere filled with unforgettable memories. “This is my first time attending such an event, and it’s great because I am here with my wife and daughter. The community integration, each float—it was all very well done,” shared Hector Manrique. Paola González added, “For my family, this is something beautiful because we seldom take the time to give thanks to God, and being able to share this important day together means a lot.”
