STATELINE, Nev. – NFL wide receiver Davante Adams was surprised when 7-year-old Dillon Downey suddenly appeared beside him as he was signing autographs.
“Whoa, where did you come from?” Adams exclaimed. He had just finished the third hole at the celebrity golf tournament at Edgewood Resort on July 10 and paused to greet fans before heading to the fourth hole.
Before moving on, he brought Dillon onto the green and quizzed him about golf, according to Dillon.

Dillon and his family, visiting from Novato, California, were attending the tournament for the first time and are fans of Adams since he hails from the Bay Area.
