Muncy acknowledged the challenges posed by trade speculation, recognizing that improving a team with championship aspirations often involves difficult decisions. “It’s a business. Especially when you’re on a team like this where they expect to win the World Series,” Muncy stated. He also indicated his openness to any role changes that may result from the team’s efforts to bolster its lineup, affirming his strong relationship with manager Dave Roberts and the front office.
Despite the struggles, Muncy remains optimistic about finding his form as the season continues. “I still know that I’m a very good player and I can definitely get back to my standards. If I’m able to just relax and go out there and play, by the end of the year, you may not even know what my first month was,” he noted.
