Margot Robbie is expecting her first child with her husband, Tom Ackerley, as confirmed by multiple sources to People magazine.
The Australian actress, 34, married Ackerley, also 34, in a Byron Bay ceremony in December 2016.
Ackerley, a producer and assistant director in Hollywood, hails from England. The couple met on the set of Robbie’s film “Suite Française” 11 years ago. Since then, Ackerley has made a name for himself as a producer, working on films such as “A Promising Young Woman” and “Saltburn.”
Though they maintain a largely private relationship, Robbie shared insights about their marriage in a November 2018 interview with Porter magazine.
“Even if we both have to fly to a country in-between where we both are for one night, we’ll do it and then fly back to work the next day. And we speak all day, every day on the phone,” Robbie revealed. She described married life as “the most fun ever” and expressed feeling “a responsibility being someone’s wife.”
In addition to their marriage, the couple has ventured into business together. They cofounded LuckyChap Entertainment in 2014, producing notable films such as “I, Tonya,” which earned Robbie her first Oscar nomination, and the blockbuster “Barbie.”
Robbie and Ackerley have yet to publicly comment and confirm the pregnancy news.
