Kylie Minogue brought a burst of joy to the 2024 Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade, gracing the occasion with a spectacular performance despite the rainy weather. On November 28, the Australian pop star captivated the audience with a dynamic three-song medley featuring her hits “Can’t Get You Out of My Head,” “Slow,” and “Padam Padam.” Fans can catch glimpses of her lively performance, which was captured and shared on social media.
Dressed in a striking black and red ensemble, Minogue’s energy was infectious as she dazzled onlookers in front of Macy’s famed Herald Square flagship store. Her appearance was a highlight of the annual event, broadcast live on NBC and available via Peacock.
Following the performance, a cheerful Minogue took to her Instagram Story to express her delight, saying, “Macy’s, what just happened? OK, that was fun, that was fun singing and dancing in the rain. Thanks for having me. I’m going to go dry off.” This year marked her second time performing at the parade, having previously graced the event in 2010.
The pop icon is currently on a promotional trail for her new album, Tension II, ahead of a much-anticipated global tour set for 2025.
The parade also featured an exciting array of nearly two dozen beloved balloons, including fan favorites like Snoopy, Bluey, Minnie Mouse, and newcomer Spider-Man. A star-studded lineup entertained the crowd, with performances from Jennifer Hudson, T-Pain, Chloë Bailey, Idina Menzel, Dan + Shay, Billy Porter, and Cynthia Erivo, among others.
With 34 floats, 11 marching bands, and 28 clown crews, the 2024 Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade transformed the streets of New York City into a vibrant spectacle filled with holiday spirit, concluding the festivities at noon ET.
This event not only highlights the spirit of Thanksgiving but also celebrates community and joy, reminding us all of the magic that can exist even on a rainy day.
