John Cena Announces Retirement from WWE in Emotional Farewell.

John Cena is retiring from WWE.

At WWE’s Money in the Bank in Toronto on Saturday, Cena made an unexpected appearance to announce his retirement from in-ring competition.

“Why am I here? Tonight, I officially announce my retirement from the WWE,” he stated.

Cena will still take part in several competitions next year, including Monday Night Raw on Netflix, the 2025 Royal Rumble, and the 2025 Elimination Chamber.

He announced that his final WrestleMania will take place in 2025 in Las Vegas.

“Thank you so much for letting me play in the house that you built for so many years,” Cena expressed.

WWE shared a video of Cena’s retirement announcement on X, formerly known as Twitter.

In a press conference, Cena revealed that a farewell tour will begin next January and continue through December.

Cena signed with WWE in 2001.
