How to find momentum, swing or rocket stocks

There are a few ways to check for all time new highs and 52 weeks high list as these are where good stocks for swinging are found. Swinging a stock is to hold a stock for more than one day.

The first way to check for momentum stocks is at https://www.barchart.com/stocks/highs-lows/highs?timeFrame=alltime for all time new highs. Use dropdown list to check for 52 weeks high. https://www.barchart.com/stocks/highs-lows/highs?timeFrame=1y Notes for all time new high, all those holding the stocks are a winners. So nobody is really waiting to get out or break even. Then take stock interested in and check it’s chart at tradingview.com. Check for its 50 and 200 day average and it would be good when the 50 day average is above the 200 day average.

2nd way is to check the heat map for hot sectors at finviz.com. Click on the heat map and change it to 1 month. https://finviz.com/map.ashx?t=sec&st=w4 Those in green are the hot sectors for the month. Bigger the box the bigger the market cap. Then check their 50 and 200 day average to ensure that the 50 is above its 200.

3rd way is to look at individual sectors and drill down by looking at S&P 500 sector ETFs. https://www.sectorspdr.com/sectorspdr/ This will show the performance of each sector by looking at each category chart.

Then check each 50 and 200 average to make sure the 50 is above the 200 moving average.
