Lewis Hamilton was overcome with emotion post-race, expressing, “I can’t stop crying! Since 2021, every day has been a fight, training, and putting my mind to the task with this amazing team.”
Reflecting on his last race with his current team before moving to Ferrari, Hamilton explained, “This is my last race at the British Grand Prix with this team, so I wanted to win so much for them. I love and appreciate them deeply for all their hard work over the years.”
In gratitude, Hamilton said, “I’m forever grateful to everyone in this team, everyone at Mercedes, all our partners, and our incredible fans. Seeing you lap by lap as I came around, there’s no greater feeling than finishing at the front here.”
Addressing his perseverance amid his victory drought, Hamilton shared insights on the period between his 103rd and 104th wins. “It’s so tough for anyone,” he admitted. “The important thing is to keep getting up and to continue digging deep, even when you feel like you’re at the bottom of the barrel.”
