Zendaya Dazzles in Cher-Inspired Look at Rock & Roll Hall of Fame!

On Saturday, Zendaya graced the 2024 Rock & Roll Hall of Fame induction ceremony, celebrating musical legend Cher. The actress honored Cher with a throwback look from the 2001 Bob Mackie collection, a nod to the designer with whom Cher has collaborated since 1967, starting with her appearance on The Carol Burnett Show. Zendaya donned a stunning semi-sheer gold dress adorned with beads and featuring seductive cutouts that showcased her toned physique.

To complement the dress, Zendaya wore a white satin coat with oversized lapels and cuffs embellished with gold stripes. She paired the outfit with pointed-toe gold heels and styled her hair straight and pulled back. Her makeup reflected a classic 70s vibe with a natural palette.

The ceremony took place at the Rocket Mortgage Fieldhouse in Cleveland, Ohio, where other honorees included Mary J. Blige, Dave Matthews Band, Foreigner, Peter Frampton, Kool & the Gang, Ozzy Osbourne, and A Tribe Called Quest.

Zendaya worked closely with her stylist Law Roach on this iconic look. Roach shared the inspiration behind the ensemble on his Instagram Stories, showcasing a photo from the original runway show. He described the outfit as part of the “Fall 2001 Bob Mackie Couture collection, Foreign Intrigue,” detailing the white silk satin trench coat with dramatic collar and cuffs embellished in gold and sparkling beads, along with the hand-beaded halter gown.

In a recent interview, Roach spoke about the strong support he and Zendaya have provided each other over the years. He emphasized how she advocated for him in professional settings, recalling instances where she ensured his voice was heard amid dismissive attitudes.
