With less than two months until the 2024 presidential election, actor Zachary Levi has publicly declared his support for Donald Trump. During a rally in Michigan on Saturday, Levi made a surprise appearance to endorse the former president for a second term, following Robert F. Kennedy Jr.’s recent withdrawal from the race.
Levi shared insights about his upbringing, stating, “I grew up in a Christian conservative family. My parents evolved from Kennedy Democrats to Reagan Republicans, teaching me to be skeptical of government and unregulated industry.” He expressed his desire for a politician who aligned with his values and initially found that in Kennedy, but acknowledged the imperfect realities of the current political landscape.
“We’re here to make sure that we take back this country and restore its greatness and health,” Levi asserted. He expressed his allegiance to Trump, stating, “Of the two choices we have, Donald Trump is the one who can get us there.” He noted the importance of Trump’s alliances, mentioning the support from Kennedy and former representative Tulsi Gabbard.
Kennedy has since suspended his campaign, endorsing Trump and his running mate, JD Vance. Following a recent debate, Trump asserted that he would not participate in a third debate, while a vice presidential debate between Tim Walz and Vance is set for CBS News on October 1. Trump also indicated that if he loses the upcoming election, he does not intend to run again.
