Zach Bryan is navigating a difficult period following his breakup with Brianna Chickenfry, also known as Brianna LaPaglia. The musician took to Instagram on Tuesday to confirm their split, expressing his respect and love for her.
“Addressing something: Brianna and me have broken up with each other, and I respect and love her with every ounce of my heart. She has loved me unconditionally for a very long time, and for that, I’ll always thank her,” Bryan wrote.
He acknowledged that the past year has been challenging for him and explained that he believed it was best for both of them to part ways. Bryan urged his fans to respect their privacy during this time, stating, “I’m not perfect and never will be. Please respect Brianna’s privacy and space in this, and if you have it in your heart, mine too.”
He concluded his message by apologizing to those he felt he let down, saying, “With everything I am and to anyone I let down, I am sorry. I try my best in everything. I failed people that love me and mostly myself.”
Shortly after Bryan’s post, LaPaglia shared her reaction on her Instagram story, revealing she felt “blindsided” by the split. She announced her decision to take a break from social media to heal privately, thanking her supporters for their kindness.
In a YouTube video, she expressed her shock at Bryan’s announcement, saying she had “no idea” he was going to share it and had been “crying for five days straight.” LaPaglia reflected on the depth of her feelings for Bryan, noting, “How can you give every ounce of yourself to someone and be discarded of in a few days?” She requested privacy as she navigates this emotional period.
Prior to the breakup, LaPaglia had shared an Instagram post hinting at changes to come, stating, “And eventually you’ll find that life goes on, even if you don’t want it to.”
The couple had previously faced challenges together, including a “traumatizing” car accident they experienced in May. After the crash, which Left them shaken but grateful for their safety, they attended the 2024 Grammy Awards together, celebrating three nominations for Bryan, including one for best country album.
