Yungblud is gearing up for his latest Australian tour, and the excitement has already led to quite the scene. After arriving in Australia a few days prior to the tour kickoff, he experienced a thrilling welcome from his loyal fans, so much so that police were called due to the large turnout at a recent event.
On January 10, Yungblud will launch his IDOLS world tour at Sydney’s Qudos Bank Arena. His first night in New South Wales included a visit to a private opening of the “Yungblud: IDOLS” photo gallery, featuring works by British photographer Tom Pallant, held at Behind The Gallery on King Street in Newtown.
Fans were eager to meet Yungblud, lining up as early as 6:30 am for the exhibition’s official launch scheduled for January 8. Reflecting on the overwhelming response, Yungblud shared his thoughts on social media, humorously noting how hectic things had become. He expressed gratitude to the fans while acknowledging the need for the police to step in and manage the crowd. “That got a bit fuckin’ hectic, didn’t it?” he commented, adding, “The cops said we had to move on because it was just getting fucking mad.” Thankfully, despite the large gathering, no incidents were reported, though the event concluded earlier than planned.
Yungblud’s enthusiasm for the exhibition and his fans was evident, as he encouraged them to check out Pallant’s work, praising the aesthetic qualities of the photographs. The exhibition will remain open until January 11.
In November, Yungblud faced health challenges that led to the cancellation of some tour dates in late 2025. Following routine medical tests, he was advised to take a break for his well-being, emphasizing his commitment to his fans and music. Fortunately, the Australian leg of the tour is confirmed to proceed as planned, bringing excitement for fans eagerly awaiting the shows.
With the tour set to kick off in Sydney, fans will also enjoy special guest performances from Dune Rats. Remaining tickets are available, and the atmosphere of anticipation is palpable as Yungblud prepares to deliver unforgettable performances across multiple Australian cities.
