Yung Filly Faces Serious Allegations: What’s Next?

Yung Filly, a British YouTuber, television personality, and rapper, recently faced court proceedings in Australia due to rape allegations. The 29-year-old, known for hosting the BBC3 series Hot Property, was apprehended in Brisbane on Tuesday and subsequently extradited to Perth, where he appeared in the Perth Magistrates’ Court on Thursday.

Filly, whose real name is Andres Felipe Valencia Barrientos, is accused of sexually assaulting a woman in her 20s in his hotel room in Perth following a performance at a venue in Hillarys, a northern coastal suburb. This alleged incident occurred on September 28.

The Western Australia Police revealed that Filly is charged with four counts of sexual penetration without consent, three counts of assault, and one count of impeding someone’s breathing by applying pressure to the neck.

Authorities have stated that the investigation is still ongoing and have urged anyone with relevant information, or knowledge of similar incidents, to reach out to Crime Stoppers.

Filly boasts over 1.8 million subscribers on YouTube, where he is part of the Beta Squad collective, and has 3.2 million followers on both TikTok and Instagram. He has made appearances on television, most notably as the host of two seasons of BBC3’s dating show Hot Property, produced by BBC Studios. Additionally, he participated in the 2022 edition of Channel 4’s The Great Celebrity Bake Off and has been featured in programs like Soccer Aid and The Jonathan Ross Show on ITV.
