YouTuber Jack Doherty was apprehended in Miami after being found in possession of illegal substances. The 22-year-old was arrested on Saturday around 9 AM, charged with carrying a controlled substance, specifically amphetamine, and marijuana, as well as resisting an officer without violence.
According to reports, the amphetamine discovered was linked to ADHD treatment, while Doherty had less than 20mg of marijuana, which remains illegal for recreational use in Florida. He was booked into the Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center with a bond set at $3,500, which he has yet to post.
Details surrounding his arrest are scarce, though it’s noted that Doherty was streaming live on the platform Parti the previous night, showcasing footage of himself aboard a yacht. The YouTuber initially rose to fame in 2017 with his outrageous prank and stunt videos.
Doherty’s legal troubles come after a separate shocking incident in 2024 when he crashed a $300,000 McLaren while livestreaming. That event garnered massive attention after his friend suffered injuries from the crash, leading to a chaotic scene where Doherty was seen urging his friend to capture footage on his phone despite the serious nature of the accident.
The reckless driving episode resulted in Doherty facing a ban from the Kick streaming platform for failing to adhere to safety protocols. Furthermore, he has been scrutinized for his controversial approach to content creation, reportedly provoking individuals for views while relying on his security team to manage potential conflicts.
As the situation develops, more information is expected to emerge about his recent arrest and ongoing legal challenges.
