STATELINE, Nev. – NFL wide receiver Davante Adams was taken by surprise when 7-year-old Dillon Downey suddenly appeared beside him while he was signing autographs.
“Whoa, where did you come from?” Adams exclaimed. He had just completed the third hole at the celebrity golf tournament at Edgewood Resort on July 10, and paused to greet fans before proceeding to the fourth hole.
Before moving on, Adams invited Dillon onto the green and quizzed him about golf, according to Dillon.
Dillon and his family, visiting from Novato, Calif., were attending the tournament for the first time and are fans of Adams, who is from the Bay Area.
While Dillon could not recall exactly what the Las Vegas Raider asked him, he said he answered all the questions correctly.
