The president of ÖSYM, Ersoy, announced on social media that the results for the Higher Education Institutions Examination (YKS) have been released. Candidates can access their results via the ÖSYM website at “https://ykssonuc.osym.gov.tr.” He expressed his hope that the results bring good fortune to everyone. The preference period for candidates will take place from July 30 to August 11.
To query the results, candidates can log into the ÖSYM Candidate Operations System (AİS) using their Turkish ID number and password. Access to results is also available through ÖSYM’s mobile application. The result documents provide the scores for the Basic Proficiency Test (TYT), Academic Proficiency Tests (AYT), and Foreign Language Test (YDT), including success rankings and placement scores.
Among the notable achievers in the exam, Ahmet Eren Özyurtseven from Gaziantep Nizip Science High School secured the highest score in the TYT and also topped the AYT in the science category. In contrast, the top scorers in the verbal and equal weight categories of AYT were Muhammed İsmail Kuşat from Bursa Private Tan Science High School.
For the Foreign Language Test (YDT), five students excelled in different languages: Elif Yılmaz (German), Abdulvahab Burro (Arabic), Arda Eren Kartal (French), Mehmet Sarak (English), and Ediz Doğan Karakoç (Russian).
Interestingly, the participation rate of female candidates in all tests surpassed that of male candidates. Among those registered for the TYT, 90.19% of male candidates participated compared to 93.26% of female candidates. For the AYT, the rates were 87.48% for males and 92.12% for females, while for the YDT, 66.11% of males and 76.86% of females participated.
However, concerning participation, out of the 2,560,649 candidates registered for the TYT, 209,008 did not attend. For the AYT, 171,117 out of 1,721,057 candidates did not participate, and in the YDT, 59,411 candidates were absent.
In total, 680 questions were posed across the various tests, with no questions canceled during the examination process.
Candidates are now entering the preference phase, which will begin on July 30 and last until August 11, providing them with a chance to select their desired higher education programs. This moment represents an important milestone in their academic journeys.
