Ye and Ty Dolla $ign are set to bring their newly released Vultures 2 album to Utah.
On Saturday, August 3, Ty announced on Instagram that he and Ye, formerly known as Kanye West, will introduce their Vultures sequel to fans in Salt Lake City on August 9.
A specific venue for the Salt Lake City date had not been disclosed at the time of the announcement.
This news follows the release of their Vultures 2 album, which became available on streaming services early Saturday morning. The sequel album comes approximately six months after the first Vultures album, which topped the Billboard 200 chart for two consecutive weeks. This achievement marked Ye’s first time holding the top spot for more than a week since 2011’s Watch the Throne.
Before the Vultures 2 release, Ye and Ty Dolla $ign announced listening experience events in South Korea on August 23 and Taiwan on August 25. They are set to appear at South Korea’s Goyang Stadium for a Vultures event, though the Taiwan venue and ticketing details are still unspecified. LeGrand is managing promotional responsibilities for both events.
Ye and Ty’s recent “listening experiences” are in addition to previously announced events in Italy. Earlier in the year, the duo had revealed plans to perform Vultures 1 for fans at the Milan Forum on February 22 and the Bologna Unipol Arena on February 24. They also hosted listening events at Chicago’s United Center on February 8 and New York’s UBS Arena on February 9.
Kanye and Ty are still enjoying the success of the Vultures anthem “Carnival,” which reached No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 in March.
In July, Ty Dolla $ign told Billboard that Vultures 2 was finished, but they were awaiting a proper rollout.
“We got all the songs. Basically, it’s just like, ‘How can we get it there? How can we go bigger than the first album?’” the rapper stated. “Certain people will probably expect you to just do the same exact sound. But that sound’s already out.”
