Xochitl Gomez, the champion of Season 32 of “Dancing with the Stars,” is set to take on a new exciting role in the CBS television series “Boston Blue.” Having won the Mirrorball Trophy alongside her partner, Val Chmerkovskiy, Gomez is transitioning into the world of scripted television with her appearance in this “Blue Bloods” spinoff.

According to a report from Deadline, Gomez will portray a character named Penny, described as a quick-witted and charming young woman with a mysterious past who unexpectedly enters the life of Sean Reagan, played by Mika Amonsen. The episode in which she debuts, titled “Code of Ethics,” will air on November 21. This episode will also tackle various important plotlines, including Sean’s romantic struggles.

Furthermore, TV Line has revealed that Gomez’s role could expand beyond a brief appearance, as it is classified as a “heavily recurring role.” Speculation suggests that Penny may develop into a romantic interest for Sean, bringing additional drama to the show’s storyline.

In addition to her new role in “Boston Blue,” Gomez has been involved in several other projects. She is expected to reprise her role as America Chavez in the upcoming “Avengers: Secret Wars” and lends her voice to Gabby in the animated series “The Cat in the Hat,” slated for release in 2026.

Gomez’s rise to fame began with her role as Dawn Schafer in the series “The Baby-Sitters Club,” but it was her performance in “Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness” that propelled her career to new heights. She participated in “Dancing with the Stars” at just 17 years old, celebrating her 18th birthday and high school graduation during the tour following her victory.

Gomez’s transition from a reality competition winner to a scripted television actress is a testament to her talent and resilience, marking an exciting phase in her burgeoning career. As she continues to build her portfolio, fans are eager to see how she brings the character of Penny to life in “Boston Blue.”
