New developments have emerged regarding the identity of the masked assailant who attacked both LA Knight and Rey Mysterio on WWE Raw, as well as CM Punk at Survivor Series. Notably, Bryan Alvarez reported that to maintain the element of surprise, at least two different individuals have donned the mysterious mask.

In his comments on social media platform X, Alvarez wrote, “In an effort to throw fans off, it appears at least two different people have been under the mystery man mask.”

The masked figure first made an appearance during the Men’s WarGames Match at WWE Survivor Series in San Diego, where the individual climbed the cage and executed a curb stomp on Punk, mimicking the signature moves of Seth Rollins.

Wrestling pundit Dave Meltzer provided insights in the December 8 edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, indicating that Austin Theory was the person behind the mask during that particular event. According to Meltzer, Paul Heyman has intentions of incorporating Theory into The Vision as a way to elevate his status while protecting other talents, such as Breakker and Reed, from losing matches.

Meltzer elaborated on the situation, stating, “Austin Theory was the guy under the mask. Paul Heyman had wanted to bring Theory into the Vision, largely to make him a star and to protect Breakker and Reed from having to take pins.” He also noted that Theory was expected to participate in the match but was sidelined due to changes involving Jacob Fatu’s injury, which led to a rearrangement of storylines including the Cody Rhodes versus Drew McIntyre feud.

This ongoing storyline surrounding the masked character has captivated fans, with the potential for further twists as WWE builds intrigue leading into forthcoming events. The blend of surprises and evolving storylines continues to highlight the dynamic nature of professional wrestling, keeping audiences engaged and speculating about future developments.
