Following a brief run in theaters, Apple Original Films’ “Wolfs,” starring Brad Pitt and George Clooney, has officially launched for streaming. This action comedy features Clooney as a professional fixer known only as Margaret’s Man, who is tasked with concealing a high-profile crime. Complications arise when another fixer, Pam’s Man, portrayed by Pitt, is also summoned to handle the situation.
The film poses the question: Can these two so-called “lone wolves” collaborate to resolve the issue at hand? Early indications suggest that teamwork might not come easily for them.
Pitt and Clooney have a longstanding on-screen partnership that fans have eagerly awaited; their chemistry has shone through in several films from the early to mid-2000s, including the “Oceans” trilogy and the Coen brothers’ “Burn After Reading,” as well as “Confessions of a Dangerous Mind,” which Clooney directed. Although the duo lent their voices to the animated film “IF,” where Pitt voiced Keith and Clooney voiced Spaceman, it has been 12 years since they last shared the screen in a feature film.
“Wolfs” also features Amy Ryan, Austin Abrams, Poorna Jagannathan, Richard Kind, and Zlatko Burić. Jon Watts, known for “Spider-Man: No Way Home,” is responsible for writing, directing, and producing the film, in collaboration with Clooney’s Smokehouse Pictures and Pitt’s Plan B Entertainment.
