Wickedly Anticipated: Get Ready for the Magic on November 22!

The anticipation for Jon M. Chu’s adaptation of Wicked Part 1 is building as tickets became available for purchase on October 9. The film, which interweaves themes of pink and green, good and evil, is set to hit theaters on November 22, coinciding with the release of Ridley Scott’s Gladiator II.

A stellar cast headlines the film, featuring Ariana Grande as Galinda and Cynthia Erivo as Elphaba. The ensemble also includes Jeff Goldblum as the Wizard of Oz, Michelle Yeoh as Madame Morrible, Bowen Yang as Pfannee, Marissa Bode as NessaRose, Bronwyn James as ShenShen, Ethan Slater as Boq, and Jonathan Bailey as Fiyero. Additionally, Peter Dinklage lends his voice to the character Dr. Dillamond, the goat professor.

Throughout the film, the entire cast performs musical numbers, with the second part expected to include additional songs. The first half of the Wicked soundtrack will be released alongside the film.
