Universal’s highly anticipated sequel, “Wicked: For Good,” will make its debut on premium video-on-demand (PVOD) platforms starting December 30. This release follows a noteworthy 43-day exclusive theatrical window, showcasing the film’s strong performance since its release. Last year, the original “Wicked” transitioned to PVOD on December 31 after a 39-day run, grossing an impressive $70 million within its first week, with $26 million generated on the very first day.

Directed by Jon M. Chu, “Wicked: For Good” has already made history by breaking the record for the biggest opening ever for a Broadway musical feature adaptation. It launched with a remarkable domestic gross of $147 million and a worldwide total of $223 million. To date, the film has amassed $326.3 million in the U.S. and $490.5 million globally. The entire Wicked franchise now boasts a staggering cumulative total of $1.2 billion.

In addition to the digital release, “Wicked: For Good” will also be available on 4K UHD, Blu-ray, and DVD on January 20, 2026, offering fans a comprehensive viewing experience. The digital version will feature two variations of the sequel, including a special sing-along edition tailored for fans who love to join in.

Moreover, audiences can look forward to more than an hour of bonus content, which includes deleted scenes and an exclusive 50-minute feature that explores the film’s production, featuring insights from stars Ariana Grande, Cynthia Erivo, and the filmmaking team. Additional behind-the-scenes featurettes will provide viewers with a deeper understanding of the creative process behind the film.
