Former NFL cornerback Samuel Beal, who played for the New York Giants, has been missing for seven months, according to a heartfelt plea from his sister, Essence Zhane, via Facebook. Zhane is urging the community to help locate her brother and is asking anyone with information about his disappearance to contact the authorities in Kenwood or Virginia Beach.

Beal has not been heard from since July 12, 2025, when his girlfriend last saw him after dropping her off at a family member’s residence. He borrowed her vehicle that day, intending to go to work, but instead traveled to Virginia Beach. During a phone call, he informed his girlfriend that he was in Virginia Beach and planned to return home; however, he never made it back. The vehicle was later found in Virginia Beach, with Beal’s shoes and socks left on the front passenger seat, along with sand on the floor, indicating he had been on the beach.

Zhane expresses her desperation in her plea, stating, “I’m not here to answer a bunch of why’s and how’s; I just need this to land in the right direction to gain some form of answers or closure.” She reassures her brother, saying, “We love you and miss you,” and shares the emotional toll his absence has taken on her family.

As the search continues, Zhane hopes that someone will come forward with vital information regarding Beal’s whereabouts. Anyone with information is encouraged to reach out to the Kentwood Police Department at (616) 698-6580 or the Virginia Beach Police Department at (757) 385-4141, specifically the Detective Bureau that handles missing persons cases at (757) 385-4101.

The outpouring of support from the community can be a source of hope in these challenging times, as families and loved ones seek answers and closure when someone they care about goes missing.
