NBC 5, Telemundo 39, and the City of Dallas have teamed up with H.E.L.P. (Hope Encourage Love Protect) to host the 2026 City of Dallas MLK Parade, which is set to take place on Monday, January 19, at 10:30 a.m. The event will celebrate the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., under the inspiring theme, “Walk Together in Unity with Purpose.” This theme underscores Dallas’ commitment to fostering values of compassion, justice, and collective progress, inviting community members to honor Dr. King’s vision.

The parade will feature an impressive display of over 200 entries, including vibrant floats, dynamic dance teams, cultural organizations, first responders, youth groups, and civic partners. Renowned for his community work, Richard Miles, the founder of Miles of Freedom, will serve as the Grand Marshal for the occasion. Organizers anticipate attendance figures ranging from 25,000 to 70,000 participants, highlighting the event’s significance to the community.

The day will kick off with a ceremony at the MLK Center starting at 9:00 a.m. Following this, the parade will commence at 10:30 a.m., beginning at the intersection of MLK Blvd and S.M. Wright and concluding in Fair Park. In response to community feedback, the parade route has been expanded to enhance accessibility and provide an optimal experience for all attendees.

Help Encourage Love Protect (H.E.L.P.) plays a crucial role as the host and producer of the parade, focusing on improving the quality of life for those in need. They collaborate with the City of Dallas Martin Luther King, Jr. Community Center to provide vital resources for various programs and events, reinforcing the spirit of community service and support.
