Police officers in the Western Division have recently completed an Operational Readiness Check, led by Divisional Police Commander Western, SSP Lakobo Vaisewa. This week’s inspection confirmed that officers are thoroughly prepared for the bustling festive season ahead.
During the review, officers inspected various vehicles to ensure they are in optimal working condition. Additionally, equipment for roadblocks, along with tents intended for increased visibility along major thoroughfares, were assessed. Given the current cyclone season, crucial disaster-response tools such as ropes, chainsaws, and generators were also included in the inspection.
Following the inspection, SSP Vaisewa reassured the community that the Western Division is well-equipped to ensure safety and security during the holiday festivities. This proactive approach reflects the commitment of local law enforcement to maintaining public safety amid the demands of the season. With these preparations, residents and travelers can look forward to a secure holiday period.
