Wendy’s is embracing the Halloween spirit by unveiling its new Boo! Bag meals, tailored for “kidults” of all ages.
Launched on October 21, these limited-edition meal bundles include a Dave’s single hamburger, a small fry, a small chocolate Frosty, a glow-in-the-dark Bone Chiller Frosty figure, and a Boo! Book coupon booklet. According to a press release from the fast food chain, the coupon booklet is filled with deals, including five free Jr. Frosty treats and a bonus coupon for a discounted $1.99 kids’ meal with any purchase.
While these meals are aimed at customers of all ages, they also serve a charitable purpose. Proceeds from the sale of each Boo! Book, whether sold with a meal or separately, contribute to the Dave Thomas Foundation for Adoption, an organization dedicated to helping find homes for over 113,000 children in foster care.
Wendy’s Boo! Bag meals follow the release of the Frosty Frights Kids Meals in September, which were designed for younger diners and included a choice of a hamburger or chicken nuggets, a junior fry or apple bites, a drink, and a collectible toy.
Other fast food franchises have also joined the Halloween festivities this season. McDonald’s reintroduced its popular Happy Meal Boo Buckets on October 15. These trick-or-treat buckets, which have a history dating back to 1986, were updated this year with new monster designs in various colors and customizable themed stickers.
Additionally, Dunkin launched its Dunkin’s Munchkins Bucket on October 16. These reusable trick-or-treat buckets can be filled with a 50-count assortment of Munchkins Donut Hole Treats. The chain also released several new Halloween-themed menu items and merchandise, and revived its DunKings tracksuits for fans looking to emulate Dunkin superfan Ben Affleck this Halloween.
