“Weird Al” Yankovic is set to embark on an extensive tour in 2025 titled the Bigger & Weirder tour, covering 65 cities over the summer. The iconic parody artist revealed the tour dates on September 23, announcing that it will kick off with a five-night performance at the Venetian Theatre in Las Vegas from June 13 to June 21. The tour will continue with stops in cities such as Salt Lake City, Indianapolis, Toronto, Boston, Philadelphia, New Orleans, San Diego, and Phoenix, concluding with a show at the Ascend Amphitheater in Nashville on September 20.
As per a press release, this marks Yankovic’s return to amphitheater performances after two world tours featuring his original songs in more intimate settings. He will present a full multi-media production, showcasing his classic hits and some lesser-known favorites that have yet to be performed live. The show will feature a massive video wall, numerous costume changes, and a talented eight-piece band that includes members from his original ensemble, promising an enhanced concert experience.
In a statement, the 64-year-old musician expressed excitement for the tour, saying it will combine popular crowd-pleasing parodies with deeper cuts for dedicated fans, all delivered with enhanced sound from a larger ensemble on stage. Additionally, Puddles Pity Party will open for him during the tour, with tickets going on sale at 10 a.m. local time on September 27.
Earlier this year, Yankovic marked the 10th anniversary of his album Mandatory Fun, which was his first-ever release to reach the top of the Billboard 200 chart. In July, he also released his first original song in ten years, a polka medley titled “Polkamania!”, featuring snippets of tunes from various contemporary artists.
