Weekend Warm-Up: Will You Take Advantage of the Tropical Temperatures?

A warm spell is expected to begin on Friday and continue into the weekend as high pressure sets in, bringing daytime temperatures that could reach 10 degrees above average. Both Friday and Saturday are anticipated to be the warmest days, with humidity increasing due to tropical moisture being drawn in from a cut-off low over Baja.

This weekend will deliver a tropical feel, with a slight chance of showers and thunderstorms, particularly concentrated in the mountainous areas throughout the county.

However, come next week, a shift in weather patterns will introduce cooler conditions as a trough of low pressure descends from the Pacific Northwest. This will bring drier air, reduce high humidity levels, and lead to a marine layer developing. By Tuesday, temperatures may drop between 5 to 10 degrees below average away from the coast, marking it as the coolest day of the week.

As the week progresses towards its end, a rise in temperatures is again projected as high pressure expands over the western regions.

Friday’s temperature forecasts are as follows:
– Coast: 70-81°
– Inland: 84-90°
– Mountains: 76-89°
– Deserts: 98-102°
