Weather Delay Shifts Arkansas-Texas A&M Kickoff to 4:30

FAYETTEVILLE — The highly anticipated college football matchup between Arkansas and Texas A&M, originally scheduled for Saturday, Oct. 18, at 2:30 p.m., will now kick off at 4:30 p.m. due to severe weather conditions forecasted in the area.

The Razorbacks (2-4, 0-2 SEC) will face off against the No. 4 Aggies (6-0, 3-0) with thunderstorms and heavy rains expected to significantly impact the game day experience. The National Weather Service had predicted showers and thunderstorms that could lead to heavy rainfall throughout the day, accompanied by wind gusts reaching 30 mph. Fortunately, the most severe weather is anticipated to clear the area by around 4 p.m.

Earlier in the week, there were concerns about possible tornado activity, although the latest forecasts from the NWS have alleviated those worries.

Historically, Arkansas has struggled against Texas A&M, recording just one victory in their past 13 encounters. However, this matchup is particularly notable as it marks the first time the Razorbacks will host the Aggies at home since 2013. In Fayetteville, Arkansas boasts a record of 12 wins, 7 losses, and 2 ties against Texas A&M.

As fans await the revised kickoff time, stay tuned for updates throughout the afternoon regarding any further developments related to the weather delay.
