Check out Patrick Beverley’s top plays from last season as he signs with Hapoel Tel Aviv BC.

NBA veteran guard Patrick Beverley is joining Hapoel Tel Aviv BC in the Israeli Basketball Premier League, as he announced on social media Tuesday afternoon.

Beverley, who just turned 36, mentioned on his X account that he was deciding between a veteran minimum NBA contract or an overseas deal. He started his professional basketball career in Greece and Russia before spending the last 12 years in the NBA.

He began the 2023-24 season with Philadelphia, then was traded to Milwaukee at the deadline in February to reunite with coach Doc Rivers. Beverley averaged 6.2 points, 3.3 rebounds, and 2.9 assists with a 41.7% shooting rate (33.7% from three) in 73 games last season.

With Milwaukee dealing with injuries in the playoffs, he started all six of the Bucks’ postseason games, though they were eliminated in the first round by the Indiana Pacers.

If Beverley returns to the NBA, he will face a four-game suspension for throwing the ball at Pacers fans repeatedly in Game 6 of that first-round series loss.

Beverley has played for five different teams since the beginning of the 2021-22 season and has not signed a multiyear deal since 2019.
