In a significant response to rising concerns over youth crime, the Southern Division Taskforce apprehended three juveniles and a man in his 20s for their suspected involvement in an aggravated robbery that took place in Wailoku on Sunday. The police executed a targeted raid in the area yesterday morning, leading to the suspects being taken into custody at the Samabula Police Station for questioning.

The swift arrests were facilitated by the dissemination of CCTV footage showing an attempted robbery on a man. According to reports, the victim had parked his van outside a residence in Wailoku when a juvenile approached him, restrained him, and forced him onto the road. Soon after, two more boys joined the assault.

Fortunately, the victim was able to defend himself and managed to drive away without sustaining serious injuries.
