Victoria Jackson’s Health Update: A Candid Reflection on Life and Time

Victoria Jackson, the former comedian from “Saturday Night Live,” announced on Wednesday that her cancer has returned, and she believes she has less than three years to live. In a candid Instagram post, she shared an update detailing her health condition, expressing that if she does not face any unforeseen events, such as being struck by a meteor or succumbing to WWIII, she estimates she has 34.8 months left.

The 65-year-old comedian first revealed her battle with breast cancer in 2016 and has since been documenting her journey in a series of videos titled “Is the Cancer Back?” In her latest installment, she explained that surgery to remove the tumor pressing against her windpipe is not an option, as it could be fatal.

Jackson mentioned her healthcare team is providing her with a medication aimed at shrinking the tumor, which is derived from the cancer growth blocker ribociclib. She noted that research suggests those on this medication have about 32.6 months to live but was optimistic about the potential for extending her life.

Reflecting on her life, Jackson referred to biblical teachings about life expectancy and expressed appreciation for her experiences, emphasizing her desire to witness significant family events, such as the birth of her grandchild. She described a spiritual moment while in bed, feeling reassured by a sense of comfort from God.

Beginning her career in Hollywood when she caught the attention of Johnny Carson, Jackson became a prominent figure on “Saturday Night Live” from 1986 to 1992. She was known for her playful persona and musical performances, alongside her impressions of various celebrities.

Over the years, Jackson has stirred controversy with her right-wing political views and efforts to get involved in political activism, including her participation in the tea party movement. She has also made headlines for her vocal opposition to LGBTQ+ celebrations during recent local council meetings in Tennessee.
