Victoria Jackson, the former “Saturday Night Live” cast member who entertained audiences from 1986 to 1992, recently shared on social media that she has been diagnosed with an inoperable tumor in her windpipe. She expressed her concern, stating that doctors informed her they cannot remove the tumor, likening it to a marble that is pressing on her windpipe, which poses a risk of suffocation.
In her message, Jackson mentioned she is set to receive a “magic pill” as part of her treatment. This medication, which is based on Ribociclib, is expected to help reduce the size of the tumor. However, she also noted that online searches suggested individuals using this treatment have an estimated 32.6 months to live.
Despite her health challenges, Jackson reflected on her life, saying she has lived a “fantastic life.” She expressed a desire to see key family milestones, including the birth of her grandson, named Jimmy, in October, and the hopes of witnessing her daughter Aubrey become a mother as well.
During her tenure on “Saturday Night Live,” Jackson was a standout performer, particularly on “Weekend Update,” where she showcased her talent through various impressions, including those of Roseanne Barr and Zsa Zsa Gabor. Her extensive acting career also features appearances in shows like “The X-Files,” “In the Heat of the Night,” and “Sesame Street,” along with films such as “Family Business” and “The Matchbreaker.”
