Victoria Jackson Faces Cancer Setback: A Tumor and Hope for Tomorrow

Former Saturday Night Live star Victoria Jackson has disclosed that doctors have discovered an inoperable tumor in her windpipe as she continues her battle with cancer.

In a recent video for her Instagram series titled “Is the Cancer Back?”, Jackson confirmed that her cancer has reemerged and estimated she has about three years to live. She explained, “Doctors cannot operate and cut out the marble in my chest that is laying on my windpipe, which would eventually suffocate me to death.”

Regarding her treatment plan, she mentioned that her doctors will provide her with a “magic pill” arriving at her home within the next 12 hours. This medication, based on Ribociclib, is intended to shrink the tumor, which may slow or stop the cancer’s growth.

After researching the treatment, Jackson noted that patients on this medication generally have an estimated life expectancy of around “32.6 months to live.” Despite receiving this news, she expressed a positive outlook, stating, “I’ve had a fantastic life,” but acknowledged the impact of knowing her prognosis, saying, “You know, we’re all dying but when you kinda see in print, you have 32.6 months, it makes you think, ya know? But I wouldn’t change anything.”

Jackson shared her desire to experience certain milestones, including the birth of her grandson, named Jimmy, in October, and hopes to see her daughter Aubrey become a mother as well.

Having revealed her breast cancer diagnosis in 2016, Jackson was part of the Saturday Night Live cast from 1986 to 1992, where she became well-known for her performances on “Weekend Update” and her impersonations of various celebrities.

Earlier this week, she informed her followers about undergoing a CT scan to determine if breast cancer cells had metastasized. In the caption of her Instagram video, she humorously added, “Cancer Update: I have 34.8 months to live if I don’t get hit by a meteor, shot by a MAGA hater, get Covid again or WWIII breaks out.”
