Victor Robles Returns as Mariners Activate; Dylan Moore DFA

The Seattle Mariners announced a roster move on Thursday: Victor Robles, the outfielder, is being reinstated from the 60-day injured list, and infielder/outfielder Dylan Moore has been designated for assignment. The Mariners’ 40-man roster remains at 40 players.

Victor Robles is back in uniform and active for tonight’s game after missing significant time with a left shoulder dislocation. He originally went on the 10-day Injured List on April 7 and was moved to the 60-day IL on April 23 following the injury he suffered making a leaping catch into the San Francisco netting on April 6. Before the injury, Robles was hitting .273 (12-for-44) with 3 runs, 3 doubles, 3 RBI and 3 stolen bases across 10 games, and he carried an eight-game hitting streak dating back to March 29. He had already missed 119 games this season.

Robles has also spent time on a rehab assignment with Triple-A Tacoma, appearing in eight games this month and posting a .310 average (9-for-29) with 4 runs, 3 doubles, 1 home run, 9 RBI, 2 stolen bases, and 3 hit-by-pitches, reaching base at .375 and slugging .517 in 32 plate appearances.

Since joining Seattle on June 5 of last season, Robles has appeared in 87 games for the Mariners and is batting .319 (87-for-273) with 44 runs, 23 doubles, 4 home runs, 29 RBI, 16 walks, and a 33-for-34 mark in stolen-base attempts. He began his career with the Washington Nationals, spending eight big-league seasons with them from 2017–24 and starting in center field for the 2019 World Series-winning Nationals. He signed with Washington as an international free agent on July 2, 2013.

Dylan Moore, 33, was designated for assignment. He has appeared in 88 games for Seattle this season, batting .193 (37-for-192) with 5 doubles, 9 home runs, 19 RBI, 12 stolen bases and a .622 OPS. Moore was named the American League Player of the Week for April 14–20, 2025. He is a longtime Mariners veteran, having joined the organization in 2019 after signing as a free agent. In his Mariners career, Moore has appeared in 671 games, hitting .205 (333-for-1626) with 82 doubles, 11 triples, 61 home runs, 192 RBI and 116 stolen bases, and he has played defensively at every position except catcher. He won the Gold Glove Award at the utility position in 2024, the first Mariners player to claim the honor at that position. Moore was part of Seattle’s 2022 playoff roster that helped the club end its postseason drought.

What this means for the club: Robles returns to the outfield with his speed and left-handed bat, giving Seattle another option for both the lineup and defensive rotations. The DFA of Moore clears a spot on the 40-man roster as the Mariners balance their outfield and infield depth.

Short summary: Victor Robles is back from the injured list and active for tonight’s game, while Dylan Moore has been designated for assignment. The move preserves a full 40-man roster and positions Robles to contribute immediately after a long injury layoff.

Positive takeaway: Robles’ strong performance history with Seattle and his track record of speed and lineup versatility could provide a timely boost as the team competes for a steadier rhythm down the stretch.
