Police Commissioner Rusiate Tudravu has confirmed the conclusion of a comprehensive digital forensic analysis conducted on devices belonging to seven officers linked to these widely shared screenshots.
Commissioner Tudravu revealed that assistance from international law enforcement agencies, including the Australian Federal Police and their U.S. counterparts, has been vital in recovering deleted messages from the officers’ phones. He stressed the importance of determining the origin of the messages as a crucial step in advancing the investigation.
“Our priority is to find the source,” Tudravu emphasized, noting that identifying the individual responsible for the messages would provide key evidence for any potential legal action. To this end, a senior detective has traveled to Sydney to obtain a statement from the person who first uploaded the screenshots that triggered the investigation.
