Former Flying Fijians fly-half Ben Volavola is set to join the Queensland Reds for the upcoming season, signing a one-year contract with the Australian rugby side. The Reds made the announcement, highlighting Volavola’s ability to play as a fly-half, inside centre, or fullback, which adds depth and experience to their backline.
At 34 years old, Volavola brings a wealth of experience to the Reds, having played ten games for the Leicester Tigers last season in England, where he reignited his ambitions under the guidance of former Waratahs coach Michael Cheika. His previous experience includes representing Fiji in the 2015 and 2019 Rugby World Cups, where he showcased his talents on the international stage.

The Australian-born playmaker developed his rugby career in Sydney, making his professional debut with the Waratahs in 2013.
