Venus Williams has tied the knot with actor and model Andrea Preti, the tennis legend announced on social media this past Tuesday. The couple celebrated their marriage in Palm Beach, Florida, after an elaborate five-day event attended by close family and friends. Interestingly, they had previously held a non-official ceremony in Italy earlier this year.
Andrea Preti, who hails from Denmark and has established himself as an actor and model in Italy, first crossed paths with Williams during Milan Fashion Week in 2024. The couple got engaged in January 2025, marking a significant milestone in their relationship.
Williams publicly acknowledged her fiancé for the first time during the DC Open in July, where she made headlines by becoming the second-oldest woman in the Open era to win a tour-level singles match. After her victory, she expressed her gratitude toward Preti, who was present in the audience, during her on-court interview.
This wedding comes as Williams maintains one of the most enduring careers in professional tennis. After a 16-month hiatus from tournaments, she returned to the sport in Washington and plans to embark on her 33rd consecutive season on the WTA Tour starting January in Auckland. As a celebrated seven-time grand slam singles champion and former world No. 1, Williams continues to leave her mark in and beyond tennis. She was recently announced as a co-chair for the 2026 Met Gala, alongside other prominent figures like Beyoncé and Nicole Kidman.
The wedding festivities included a private courthouse ceremony followed by a grand celebration, as reported by Vogue. Despite her recent marriage, Williams has not yet indicated any changes to her competitive schedule, signaling her commitment to both her personal life and professional career.
