Vans is set to launch an exciting new colorway of its Premium Old Skool 36 model, inspired by the iconic Chanel On The Pavement Messenger bag. This design draws heavily from the bag’s aesthetic, which was part of Chanel’s Spring/Summer 2015 collection and was notable for its unique graffiti style, contrasting with the brand’s traditional haute couture offerings.

The sneaker features a washed, painted upper that closely resembles the Chanel bag, complemented by a colorful tweed jazz stripe and lining on the tongue. The midfoot includes vintage-style pins, while the toe, eyelets, and heel overlay are crafted from brown leather. Rounding out the look is a burgundy sockliner that mimics the internal design of the bag, along with a pre-worn vulcanized rubber midsole for added character.

This new Vans model is scheduled for release on July 31, 2025, and will be available in men’s sizing at a retail price of $125 through Vans and select retailers. The sneaker community can keep updated on this release and more by downloading the Sole Retriever app, which tracks the latest sneaker and streetwear news, releases, and raffles.

The blend of high fashion inspiration with accessible sneaker culture exemplifies how brands like Vans continue to innovate and connect with diverse audiences. As sneaker enthusiasts prepare for the release, this fusion of luxury and street style demonstrates the ever-evolving landscape of fashion.
