SPRINGFIELD, MA – As Valentine’s weekend approaches, couples across Hampden County are gearing up for a romantic night out. For those who have yet to secure their dinner plans, there is still time to make restaurant reservations or enjoy a festive holiday-themed pizza.

Corey Collins, the Executive Chef at MGM Springfield, shared his enthusiasm, stating, “Glad the cold weather has broken, and we’re ready for a very busy Valentine’s Day.” Eateries in the region are anticipating packed houses as the special day draws near.

MGM Springfield’s offerings include the popular Costa and Chandler Steakhouse, where reservations are still available. Collins noted, “We’re quite busy with reservations, but we do have some spots for this weekend, especially at Costa.” The Chandler Steakhouse is featuring a special Valentine’s Day menu, complete with a surf and turf option for couples. Meanwhile, Costa boasts enticing specials, such as Hamachi Crudo with chili and ginger oil, lobster ravioli, and a blood orange panna cotta dessert.

For those unable to secure a table, Nicky’s Pizza in Agawam provides a charming alternative with their heart-shaped pizzas, a delightful tradition that began in 2016. Owner Anthony Liquori reported a significant increase in orders over the years, saying, “We’ve sent four pizzas out already this morning. And previously, in the last few days, we’ve had tons going out.” Nicky’s Pizza is anticipated to serve hundreds of these special pizzas this weekend, available through Sunday.

As couples enjoy their chosen dining experiences—whether at a restaurant or with a cozy pizza at home—Valentine’s Day in western Massachusetts is proving to be a vibrant celebration of love and culinary delight.
