The University of South Florida (USF) Athletics program has marked an exceptional year, achieving numerous milestones across various sports. Men’s basketball has secured its first American Athletic Conference regular season title, while men’s track and field has triumphed, sweeping both the indoor and outdoor championships. Men’s golf also celebrated a significant victory, winning its sixth American conference championship.
In volleyball, the team clinched its first-ever regular-season title and its first conference title since 2002. Additionally, the All Girl Cheer squad captured two national titles at the Universal Cheerleading Association (UCA) College Nationals. Other highlights from the year include triumphant performances from volleyball, softball, men’s basketball, and women’s basketball against top-10 opponents.
Reflecting on the achievements, Michael Kelly, the Vice President for Athletics at USF, acknowledged these successes as part of an extraordinary year for the Bulls, which included a thrilling five-overtime victory for the football team over San Jose State in the Hawai’i Bowl—marking back-to-back bowl wins.
