The 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris are approaching their conclusion, with only a few events remaining before the Closing Ceremony wraps up the Games.
On Saturday, 15 days of competitive events were officially completed at the Paris Olympics. Team USA expanded their medal tally by another 11 medals on Saturday, bringing their total to 122—32 more than the second-place finisher, China.
Although China trails significantly in overall medals, they lead in gold medals, holding 39 compared to Team USA’s 38, with one day of competition still to go. Team USA’s medal collection includes 38 golds, along with 42 silvers and 42 bronzes.
Great Britain currently stands third in the overall medal count with 63 medals, closely followed by France with a total of 62. In the gold medal race, Australia ranks third with 18 golds, trailing behind both the U.S. and China.
