An American tourist named Brian Tarrance has been reported missing in the Turks and Caicos Islands, prompting a plea for assistance from his brother as authorities step up their search efforts. Brian, 51, originally from Georgia, was last seen on June 25, 2025, while celebrating his first wedding anniversary at the Paradise Inn in Grace Bay, Providenciales with his wife.
The Royal Turks and Caicos Islands Police Force issued a missing person bulletin on June 26, describing Tarrance as a Caucasian male with brown eyes and of medium build. His brother, Mike Tarrance, disclosed that Brian had sent a text on June 20, indicating he was going on vacation with no further details.
In a disturbing revelation, Mike mentioned that the family learned Brian has struggled with alcoholism, which has led to hallucinations, potentially affecting his behavior. He insisted that his brother has never exhibited concerning behavior before, asserting, “He is a very smart individual.”
The urgency of the situation has compelled Mike to appeal to the public. He encourages anyone with information about Brian’s whereabouts to promptly contact the police, stating, “Our family is desperate for answers. We just want to bring him home safely.”
The U.S. Embassy in Nassau and the Red Cross are collaborating with local authorities as the search continues. Anyone with information is urged to reach out to the Royal Turks and Caicos Islands Police Force at 911 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-8477.
This situation underscores the importance of community involvement in missing person cases, and there is hope that with increased public awareness, Brian Tarrance can be located safely.
