The Savannah Police Department is actively searching for a missing 3-year-old girl named Leilani Elliott. The child is believed to have been taken without permission during a supervised visit on Wheaton Street. Authorities have issued an Amber Alert as they consider Leilani to be in extreme danger.

The suspect, Jessy Elliott, 32, is reportedly driving a 2022 white Nissan Altima. She has brown eyes and hair, stands 5 feet tall, and weighs approximately 120 pounds. The last confirmed sighting of Jessy and Leilani was at 825 Wheaton Street in Savannah, where Jessy was seen walking towards East Broad Street around 10:45 a.m.

Authorities are urging anyone who may have seen either Jessy or Leilani to call 911 immediately. In a concerning note, Jessy has a criminal history, having been arrested on April 27 by the St. Marys Police for cocaine possession and criminal trespass. She was reportedly charged again for possessing contraband inside a guard line shortly thereafter but has since been released on bond.

The public’s assistance is critical in ensuring Leilani’s safe return. This situation highlights the ongoing issues surrounding child safety and the importance of community awareness during such distressing incidents.

It is hopeful that with the issuance of the Amber Alert and community involvement, there will be a swift resolution to this case ensuring the child’s safety.
