Britney Spears’ second album, “Oops!… I Did It Again,” released in 2000 when she was just 18 years old, continues to be a significant part of pop culture history. Recently, fans have uncovered the truth behind the album’s iconic artwork, putting to rest a long-standing rumor that it was photographed at Lenny Kravitz’s home in Miami. Ruth Levy, executive producer and photographer Mark Seliger’s representative, confirmed to Page Six that the actual location of the photoshoot was Quixote Studios in West Hollywood, California.

Although Lenny Kravitz himself was not part of the photoshoot, he was present during the time the album cover was photographed, accompanied by his then-12-year-old daughter, Zoe Kravitz. Zoe celebrated her encounter with Britney by sharing a nostalgic photo of them together on her social media, highlighting the joyful moment when she met the pop star.

In the year leading up to the release of “Oops!… I Did It Again,” Britney had already gained global fame with her debut single, “Hit Me Baby One More Time.” This album marked a significant milestone in her career, solidifying her status as the “Princess of Pop.” Over the years, Britney has released seven additional albums, with her most recent being “Glory” in 2016, earning accolades such as the Billboard Millennium Award.

Adding to the nostalgia, Eli Swanson, the model who portrayed Britney’s astronaut lover in the “Oops!… I Did It Again” music video, shared details about his experience working with her. Eli was initially unaware of the project he was auditioning for but expressed his excitement upon learning he would be working with Britney. He recalled her as being sweet and humble, accompanied by her dog and mother during the shoot, and praised her professionalism even after a minor mishap on set.

This revelation, alongside memories shared by those who were part of Britney’s journey, rekindles the fondness fans have for her contributions to music. It reminds us of the timeless impact she has had on the pop music landscape and continues to inspire new generations of artists.
