The long-awaited unscripted series “The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives” has officially launched on Hulu, following its initial tease in January. All six episodes of the docuseries are now available for streaming.
Produced by Jeff Jenkins Prods., known for hits like “Bling Empire” and “My Unorthodox Life,” the series explores the tumultuous lives of a group of Mormon mom influencers who find themselves embroiled in a swinging sex scandal that captures international attention. The narrative reveals how this scandal shakes their sisterhood, putting their faith, friendships, and reputations at stake. It raises the question of whether the vibrant community within #MomTok can endure and defy conventional norms, or if they will face a drastic fall from grace.
The series trailer, released in August, showcased the wives discussing their restrictive upbringing, which demanded they fulfill traditional roles as housewives dedicated to serving their husbands. One participant reflected on their upbringing, stating, “We were raised to be these housewives for the men, serving their every desire,” while another mentioned expectations to have children by a young age.
As the series progresses, it tracks the wives’ rise to fame through their popular online platforms and the ensuing backlash that threatens to disrupt their lives.
