Unveiling the Luxurious Delta One Lounge: A Gateway to Elevated Travel

The Delta One Lounge at John F. Kennedy International Airport aims to ensure that a traveler’s journey starts before they even leave the ground.

While airports have long provided quieter spaces with better amenities for premium guests, the Delta One Lounge offers an experience beyond the typical airport sanctuary. Airlines and credit card companies are increasingly enhancing the airport experience, making it a part of the traveler’s vacation rather than just a waiting area.

Claude Roussel, Vice President of Delta Sky Clubs and Lounge Experience, stated ahead of the facility’s late June launch that their teams have meticulously ensured Delta One Lounge guests have a memorable experience. “We want our guests to feel the difference here; moreover, we want them to feel welcomed and valued from the moment they step through the door,” said Roussel.

The lounge is accessible to same-day departing or arriving Delta One ticketed passengers, Delta 360 Members with first class tickets, and passengers with same-day departing or connecting flights on certain affiliated airlines. Eligible guests can also bring immediate family members or companions for a $100 fee.

The Delta One Lounge pays homage to its home city with an art-deco bar inspired by Radio City Music Hall and a dining area featuring design elements from New York’s famous delicatessen counters. The penny-round ceiling over the food counter nods to the original JFK terminal designed by Eero Saarinen, while the suspended lighting fixture in the dining room draws inspiration from the Brooklyn Bridge’s iconic overlapping strands.

“These unique design touches create a space that is like no other: one that is modern while rooted in the city’s past,” the airline explained in a statement.
