Unveiling 2024: Apple Music’s Exciting New Replay Feature!

Apple Music has officially launched its 2024 Replay feature, allowing subscribers to reflect on their musical journeys from the past year, starting December 3. This year’s Replay not only highlights the most-played songs, albums, and artists for each individual listener but also showcases the year’s leading music trends through comprehensive charts.

According to Apple Music, 2024 was a remarkable year in the music industry, noted for a significant increase in the representation of women on the year-end global songs chart, the rise of diverse global genres, and the emergence of numerous artists who made their debut on the charts.

Kendrick Lamar’s “Not Like Us” emerged as the most-streamed song worldwide, dominating the Global Daily Hot 100 for over six weeks since its release in May. Following closely were Benson Boone’s “Beautiful Things” and “Espresso” by Sabrina Carpenter, securing the second and third positions respectively, while Shaboozey’s “A Bar Song (Tipsy)” took fourth place and Taylor Swift’s “Cruel Summer” rounded out the top five.

Additionally, Boone led the inaugural Global Shazam chart, and Dua Lipa topped the newly introduced Shazam Global Radio Spins chart, which takes data from over 40,000 radio stations around the world.

The 2024 Replay introduces exciting new features that enhance user experience, including:

– Expanded listener rankings that allow fans to see if they made it into the Top 500 or Top 1000 listeners for their favorite artists or genres.
– A new streak feature that tracks the longest consecutive days users have listened to Apple Music.
– Monthly insights showcasing users’ top songs, artists, and albums for each month of 2024, giving a detailed view of the musical year.
– A streak tracker for top artists, helping listeners see if their loyalty shines through consistent streaming.

Fans can also discover the exact date they first played their most popular songs, artists, and albums of the year.

To access their 2024 Replay, iPhone users running iOS 18.1 can view their personalized playback through the Apple Music app. For those on older iOS versions or desktop, they can simply visit replay.music.apple.com.

This year’s Replay not only celebrates listener preferences but also marks a transformative year in music diversity and engagement, offering fans a deeper connection to their favorite tracks and artists. Apple Music continues to foster a vibrant musical community, encouraging users to celebrate their unique listening habits and the shared global experience of music.
