Unmissable Discounts: Lucid Motors Shakes Up Luxury EV Market

Lucid Motors is intensifying its sales efforts this May by offering significant discounts on its luxury Air sedan, making it an enticing option for shoppers in Canada and the United States. These limited-time incentives are expected to attract more buyers, though the eligibility criteria and savings amounts differ substantially between the two countries.

In Canada, potential buyers can save up to CAD 12,600 when purchasing or leasing the model years 2024 or 2025 Lucid Air, especially if the vehicle is available for immediate delivery at a Lucid Studio. The savings include up to CAD 2,600 for 2025 models and CAD 7,500 for 2024 models if the vehicle is taken on-site. Additionally, there’s a Conquest Offer providing CAD 3,000 off for customers who own or lease a qualifying internal combustion engine or hybrid vehicle from a competing luxury brand or a Tesla, with no trade-in necessary. Tesla owners can also benefit from an additional CAD 2,000 bonus, bringing total potential savings for eligible buyers to CAD 12,600.

In the United States, the incentives are even more compelling, with discounts reaching up to USD 22,500 for those leasing a 2025 Lucid Air Touring model. This includes a USD 10,000 Air Credit, a USD 7,500 federal tax credit, a USD 4,000 trade-in bonus for Tesla owners, and a USD 1,000 Lucid store pick-up bonus. The entry-level Pure trim offers discounts of up to USD 20,000 for Tesla owners and USD 18,000 for owners of other vehicles. Buyers interested in the Grand Touring model can save up to USD 17,500 with a Tesla trade-in, although this model presents the lowest discount among the options available.

These discounts and incentives are part of Lucid’s strategy to build on its successful first quarter of 2025, during which it delivered over 3,100 vehicles, marking its fifth consecutive quarterly delivery record. As Lucid prepares for the launch of its Gravity SUV, the company is aiming to double its production capacity in 2025, with a target of producing up to 20,000 vehicles after having produced 9,024 in 2024. Additionally, Lucid has plans to introduce a more affordable midsize model by late 2026, broadening its appeal to a larger segment of the market.

The substantial discounts offered reflect Lucid’s commitment to making its electric vehicles more accessible, particularly as competition in the luxury electric vehicle market intensifies.
